Take it out mate. The ECU and anti theft are all connected to the epic pump, now that it is gone nothing controls the pump,so rip it all out and fit your own anti-theft _________________ A work of art is a joy forever

No, not with the EPIC
As Tim says, the immobiliser controls the pump fuelling, not the starter, so the ECU now does nothing.
May be worth selling on Ebay _________________

Maybe the stop solenoid is connected to the multiplug that was on the back of the epic, pin 19 as far as i can recall. If it is find a new power source near the ignition switch _________________ A work of art is a joy forever

Hi parnells,
Checked my diagrams for the immobiliser and the unit also talks to a relay between the ignition switch and the starter relay It can be by passed and is named as the Crank inhibit relay and is doing what it should.
This relay is located next to the immobiliser which is located under the fascia to the right of the fusebox so under the mat in the middle and ash tray area - the fix is simple the relay has two wires which are white with a red strip just link them together and the job is done, with my van I left the immobiliser ECU in place because it still flashes and gives the deterent factor.
Hope this helps Nick _________________ LDV Convoy Xreg 2000 LWB Twin Rear Wheeler |

Hi, I will check the diagrams latter but think due to the operation being the ECU which would control the fuel timings and recieves input from the temp sensor and other sensors it may relay the info to the dashboard console, so removing the ecu may mean engine information is not given to the driver.
But I will double check what feeds go where there is a stop solinoid on the bosch fuel system and if it came from a ldv there is a wire which goes back to the immobilisor ecu which could make the whole system operative again.
many thanks Nick. _________________ LDV Convoy Xreg 2000 LWB Twin Rear Wheeler |

I have checked my diagrams and although the epic ecu has feeds from the sensors I don't think it affects the sensors for the driver but it does talk to the EGR valve which may need bypassing as well.
manY thanks nick _________________ LDV Convoy Xreg 2000 LWB Twin Rear Wheeler |

Take a live feed from the ignition with the key in on position, then put a ball bearing in the small pipe going to the egr and discard the rest. You can fit your own anti theft if you need it.Not sure which pump you used the 145 or 146 but one of them have an anti theft on thh back of it so just take it off _________________ A work of art is a joy forever
