Is the pump running now ok when the ignition is turned on?

Is the handbrake on the van wont lift till handbrake is released

sometimes the ecu gets confused and you will need to make it kneel to reset it

Answer to the first 2 questions though will help

yes it runs fine when ignition is on and no change when handbrake is on or off. before the compressor was refurbed i could pump up the suspension with an air line on the valve on the compressor but can't do that now.... just seems like no air is getting through

check the wiring at the pump the smaller wires go to a solenoid which needs to work there is a diagram on here somewhere

The solenoid is part of the kneel circuit but will stop air flowing if faulty which may be what killed your first pump !

There are 2 solenoids one to let air into the bags other to let air out but different years are slightly different my one has a valve block with no solenoids on pump !
